This file addresses questions that may arise during the use of this resource. This takes the form of a FAQ or Frequently Asked Question - style document.
How do I navigate through the site?
Navigation through this site is designed for simplicity of use. The navigation functions are embedded into the left frame, unless your browser is unable to support the "frames function". In this instance, each page has a Navigation Bar, which is essentially a large clickable icon. These can be used to directly access most of the first level functions of the site. Just point your mouse over the appropriate part of the Bar and click. In the frame-less version, all pages except the "home" or introductory page also have a rotating house icon, which can be clicked for return to the home page. Most users will access the newer "frames" version, where a link to the start page is provided in the left navigation frame. For users without graphical support or those having the graphics option on their browser disabled, there are small clickable text links below the graphical navigation aids in the "non-frames" site, and a text menu in the left frame in the "frames" site.. Additionally, on the Navigation Bar / Frame there is a Map option, clicking on which will pull up a hierarchical site representation.
How do I download a file?
This explanation is also mirrored on the main download page. If you wish a file to be copied to either a floppy disk within your computer or to your local hard drive, please click on the appropriate icon. All download icons are located on the download page. They take the form of document icons with either the logos of WordPerfectTM, Microsoft WordTM or ASCII text emblazoned on them. Your browser may prompt you to enter a SAVE AS name for this file or accept the given filename, and also prompt for the location to which this file should be saved. After entering the appropriate information, click SAVE and document download will occur.
How do I print the page I'm currently viewing?
To retrieve either protocols or forms you may choose to access the appropriate page on this site (e.g. Protocols page, Day 0 through Day 4) and click on the PRINT option on your browser's button bar above, or alternatively click on the FILE option on the menu bar above and drag down and release on the PRINT command. Your attached desktop printer should print the file. NOTE: if in frames mode, it will be necessary to first click within the frame to be printed.
I want to E-mail someone. How?
To send an E-mail message you need to find the appropriate address. In web documents this address may be written out on the page, or alternately be embedded in their name on the page. In either case, the writing, be it name or E-mail address, will be in a different color text (usually blue) than the rest of the document. When the mouse pointer passes over this text, the E-mail address will appear inside the grey bar at the bottom edge of the browser window. When pointing over this area, click. Your browser should activate an E-mail window, allowing you to message from within your browser. If you experience difficulty or observe error messages, it is most probable that your browser is not configured correctly. In this instance, contact your local Computer Support or System Administrator.
